AirSpun, Inc. Launches AirClub Memberships to Help Do-It-Yourself Recording Artists Promote Their Music to the Masses

San Mateo, CA (Billboard Publicity Wire) December 20, 2007 -- AirSpun, Inc. today announced the launch of its first members-only AirClub services at www.airspun.com. AirClub members receive unlimited song-sharing widgets, artist featured placement in the company's new music RSS feeds, and elimination of reservation fees for artist showcase radio bookings at airspun.com. The company estimates that these services will increase the reach of indie artists by 50,000 to 600,000 listeners a year and help to drive sell-through of independent digital downloads and CDs.

AirClub membership costs $9.95/month and provides members with access to detailed AirStats marketing statistics through the AirSpun artist management console. AirStats report on AirSpun chart position, radio listeners, and number of spins in the audio player/widget. The AirClub also rewards its chart-toppers with additional perks such as homepage placement and free radio promos.

AirSpun.com is best known for its patent-pending online airtime booking system, launched in late 2006, to give original recording artists a chance to sell their music directly to a global fan-base. The company currently offers 60-second commercial airtime placements for indie artists and labels in Nashville, San Jose/San Francisco, Seattle, Austin and more on major network and privately-owned radio stations.

"AirSpun's mission has always been to help drive sell-through of new music by indie artists through a full suite of marketing services, ranging from radio promotion to online syndication," says Heidi Elgaard, AirSpun CEO. "The AirClub is a cost-effective marketing option for artists pursuing the do-it-yourself label model."

Today, technology is so different that it barely resembles its former self. Music lovers of today carry around portable devices that store all of their favorite songs in a piece of equipment that is barely larger than our thumbs. The MP3 music player technology initially appeared in the mid-1980s but we would not see the player in its present state until the late 1990s ? 1999 to be exact. But when it made its appearance it would change the world of mu...
