Cinema City International Film Festival Kicks of Its Second Year With a Special Two Day Event for Television Pilots, Commercials and Music Videos
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 16, 2008 -- After enjoying tremendous success in its first year, the CCIFF (Cinema City International Film Festival) is gearing up for its second year by hosting a special two day event this March. "Our first year was so exciting that we wanted to expand by adding the categories for Commercials, Music Video and Television" says festival co-founder Juliette Harris. "We want to keep the festival fresh and growing each year by adding something new which celebrates the spirit of filmmaking while providing outlets for new upcoming filmmakers" added Suzanne De Laurentiis, festival co-founder.
The screening and competitions will be held March 9th and 10th at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles on Avenue of the Stars. The two day event will host 30 screenings with a special opening night premiere of the hard hitting documentary, "This Is War" on Sunday night. The film follows soldiers in Iraq using footage from the cameras of the soldiers themselves.
The event has already been flooded with worthy entries and picking the winners will be a hard task to complete. The general public will also play a role in the festival, as the screenings are complimentary! The grand gala and award ceremony will be held on Monday night and hosted by the legendary Ed McMahon. It will benefit burn victims while promoting burn awareness and prevention. Among the honorees will be returning war Veterans who have suffered burn injuries in the line of duty.
The special event will host a welcome party, celebrity attendees, panel discussions, red carpets, black tie gala and two days of screenings and competitions.
Sponsors include: Sea Allure, Spike Television, Fox Television and many more.
