Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 9, 2008 -- The Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation (http://heart.muzak.com) and many Nashville music industry professionals will join together next week to provide 32 teens from across the nation with the two-week experience of a lifetime.

The Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation, a leading supporter of music education (http://heart.muzak.com), is orchestrating and funding Noise! 2008, the seventh annual summer camp for aspiring music professionals. Noise! (http://heart.muzak.com) gives students the opportunity to learn about the music industry from top professionals in the field.

The students, ages 15 to 17, who were chosen for the camp receive full scholarships to attend Noise!, which will take place July 13 ? 25 at the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville. An equal number of young men and women were chosen to attend this year?s experience. The students, all from very diverse backgrounds, represent 20 states ? Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Washington.

While at Noise!, campers will work and visit with record label producers, artist managers, music critics, audio architects, choreographers and numerous other music industry professionals. They will all be given a glimpse into the lives and working environments of high-profile music industry representatives.

?The industry professionals who donate their time to speak at Noise! are phenomenal. They offer such a wealth of information to the students and one of the main points they all make is that the music industry is not about money ? it?s about having a sincere passion for music,? Heart & Soul Business Manager Neely Vasher said.

Noise! has proven to be a powerful networking tool for past participants as they establish invaluable contacts with the professionals they meet. ?Our former campers are accomplishing many exciting things in the music industry and I?m confident that this year?s campers will be no different. You?ll certainly be hearing about their many successes in the future!? Vasher said.

In order to prepare students for their own quest of a music profession, part of the Noise! experience involves each camper choosing and researching a specific career from amongst the vast array of options within the music industry. This research is presented by each camper in the form of a career plan at the camp?s culmination.

Vasher said she witnesses a huge transformation in the students over the course of the two-week camp. ?They arrive at Noise! imagining they will be the next superstar, and go home with an entirely new and more realistic perspective ? they leave with tangible dreams of having a real career within the music industry,? she said.

Noise! has been held in Los Angeles, ?The Entertainment Capital of the World", for the past three years. During last summer?s Noise!, students toured the same studios in which stars such as Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones and the Foo Fighters have recorded. They met with the president of Fox Music, sat in the live studio audience of a CBS television show, heard from an entertainment lawyer, and of course, made some music of their own.
